(PS2) ChoroQ [NTSC-U] [910 MB]

ChoroQ has been described by many people as a "CarPG" in that while you do partake in tons of arcadeish races against other super deformed cars (called ChoroQs in the game), you also drive around three different towns, talking to the ChoroQs and doing quests and mini games.

There's over 200 different body styles to unlock through the story mode (very few of them actually change the way your ChoroQ handles or performs; they're largely for show) and a wide range of parts you can buy to upgrade your car (either for performance or for looks).

The game supports two player split screen where you can import your ChoroQs from your own individual adventures and battle each other and also compete against each other in a wide range of minigames.

(PS2) Growlanser: Heritage of War [NTSC-U] [3.04GB]

Once, an isolated island continent was plunged into war. The people who wished to end the warring revived a powerful weapon called the "Admonisher" and threatened the participants of the war with it. Thus all of the wars were ended by force. The people behind this called themselves the "Peace Maintenance Brigade." 20 years later the old men of the Brigade are no longer able to maintain the peace.

Now war has once again broken out among the inhabitants of the continent. A mysterious famine has appeared, leaving the citizens to fight over what little fertile land is left, while the cities are constantly attacked by fierce amphibious monsters known as "Screapers"

Battles take place in real-time, and there is no transition to a separate battle map (which is usually found in traditional Japanese RPGs). As such the game forces players to come up with strategies and tactics immediately as the situation calls for it.

(PS2) Dual Hearts [NTSC-U] [1.14GB]

In Dual Hearts, Rumble and Tumble will travel around Sonno Island, meeting the people there and seek out those whose dreams holds one of the 7 keys.

Each dream is different as each person is different. This means, the enemies and puzzles Rumble will encounter will be different in each dream he visits. For example, the first dreamer will be another treasure hunter. Within the dreamworld, everything is filled with gold and gems. Even the boss is a giant money bag!

Within the dreams, Rumble will be able to use the Holy Instruments (in the form of a spear and sword) to fight enemies there. Rumble can use both weapons at the same time enabling him to do a variety of combo attacks.

Tumble will help Rumble by carrying him on his back, enabling him to reach higher planes. He can also perform different attacks like the Breath Attack.

In order to advance, there are a variety of puzzles for our heroes to solve. For example, in one puzzle, you will be presented with movable blocks, several switches and a closed door. You must figure out which switch will open the door and move the block on the switch. If you run into any problems, you can always talk to Tumble or the Dream Sheep for hints and help.

(PS2) Odin Sphere [PAL-E] [2.74GB]

ImageShack, share photos, pictures, free image hosting, free video hosting, image hosting, video hosting, photo image hosting site, video hosting site

Odin Sphere is a side-scrolling action game with RPG elements, featuring a combination of 2D and 3D graphics. The game was designed as a spiritual successor to Atlus' own Princess Crown, and features the same kind of modular animation system, allowing for extremely smooth and varied motion for even the largest characters.

The action gameplay is similar to Princess Crown, but does not limit enemy encounters to one-on-one fights, instead, all fighting happens in real-time as the player progresses through circular areas. Upon defeating enemies, the player is rewarded with items and experience in order to level up the attack strength and magic capabilities of the character. Players can also plant seeds during combat that will grow as they absorb Phozons released by defeated enemies, eventually producing edible fruit. Phozons can also be absorbed by the character to power up their weapon.

The game features 5 distinct playable characters, each with his or her own storyline intertwined into one epic tale loosely based on Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call [PAL-E] [2.04GB]

In this brooding action-RPG from Atlus, players take the role of a Japanese boy who must survive an invasion of demons on an alternate-reality Earth. After the apocalyptic event that came to be known as "the Conception," Tokyo is overrun with supernatural monsters, which must be dealt with in one way or another. The hero has numerous paths before him, and chooses his own way. The game's story has many possible endings, depending on the decisions the main character makes.

The Shin Megami Tensei (which has been translated as "True Goddess Rebirth," but is often converted to "Digital Devil Story" in English) brand began with Japanese releases for the Super Famicom, and continued on North American PlayStations with Revelation Series: Persona and its sequel Persona 2. While games in the series seldom share common characters or settings, all are designed to promote a certain freedom in role-playing, by offering moody, interactive game worlds and ample opportunity for creative character development.

Like most of the earlier games in the line, Nocturne presents a mature story, with more realistically complicated characters than the stereotypical Japanese console game. This North American edition of the game is an enhanced version of the Japanese original, and features a cameo appearance from Devil May Cry's Dante.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 [NTSC-U] [2.10GB]

The paranormal Persona role-playing series continues on PlayStation 2 in this fourth installment. Building on the acclaimed third chapter of the freaky franchise, Persona 4 features a similar presentation and premise: you must balance daily life as a high school student while battling demons and other supernatural forces at night. The new storyline is set in Japan, in the pastoral town of Inaba, which has been upended with news of a ghastly murder. After more bizarrely staged murders take place, the protagonist and a few of his closest friends begin to investigate those responsible for the serial slayings. In between the sleuthing, the lead character will have to attend classes, build relationships, and complete part-time jobs.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 [PAL-E] [2.69GB]

Things begin with the main character moving to a small town from the city. Shortly after starting school, you begin to hear rumors of a TV program that tells who your soul mate is. It is revealed later that everyone that appears on the program ends up kidnapped, and later, dead. The main character discovers that he has the ability to go inside of TVs and save the people who appear on the TV. The main storyline follows this mystery of the kidnappings.

The fourth installment of Persona has many similarities to Persona 3. You can build social links for different characters, which are represented by tarot cards. Raising the rank of these social links increases the potency of the "personae" associated with them. Personae are "shadows" of people which are used in battle to unleash special powers. All battles are fought in a variety of dungeons inside of the TV. Each person kidnapped creates a new dungeon particular to them. You also have to balance your crime-solving and social linking with studying, clubs, and job responsibilities.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne [NTSC-U] [1.52GB]

The first Shin Megami Tensei game officially released outside of Japan, this is the English translation of what is known in Japan as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax, an enhanced version of the original Shin Megami Tensei III.

The third installment of the most important series within Megaten Universe, "SMT: Nocturne" continues the tradition of post-apocalyptic setting with demonic overtones that became the trademark of the series. You play as a high-school student in modern Tokyo. One day you go to visit your teacher in a hospital. Unable to find her, you encounter a strange man in the basement, and soon thereafter witness the event of great destruction - the Conception. The world around the young man changes drastically, as monsters invade it, and the high demonic powers of the universe make it to the arena of their eternal fight - the struggle between Law and Chaos. Will the hero be able to find his path within this cosmic battle, even at the cost of losing his human nature?

Just like the two previous Shin Megami Tensei games, "SMT: Nocturne" allows you to communicate with random enemies and to recruit them into your party. The fights are turn-based, and are viewed from third-person perspective, unlike in earlier SMT games. The exploration of 3D dungeons is also done from over-the-shoulder view. True to the spirit of SMT series, you can choose your own moral path in the game, siding with one of the struggling forces, or fighting against both. New in this enhanced version (compared to the Japanese-only "Shin Megami Tensei III") are: additional items and monsters, optional dungeons, two difficulty levels, an extra ending (in additional to the other five possible), and the appearance of Dante, the popular character from Devil May Cry series.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 [PAL-E] [2.95GB]

This is a direct sequel to "Digital Devil Saga", and the conclusion of its story. In the first game, the tribe leaders of Junkyard, turned into demons, were fighting each other in order to climb the Karma Tower and to escape their grim world, reaching the promised land Nirvana. Serph, the leader of the Embryon tribe and the protagonist of the series, was the victor of their contest. He and his friends have finally reached Nirvana... yet it turned out to be something entirely different from the paradise they have imagined. It appears that the struggle continues in Nirvana itself, and the path to the True World is not yet unlocked...

The sequel utilizes the same gameplay mechanics as the first game. Your party can fight the turn-based battles either in human form, using guns, or as demons. "Digital Devil Saga 2" adds to them a third form, half-demon. Like in the first game, you gain new abilities by buying and learning Mantras. In order to learn them more quickly, you can devour your enemies. Unlike the first game, you can choose freely which Mantra to learn and are not restricted to several pre-determined ways on the Mantra grid field.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 [NTSC-U] [2.91GB]

Junkyard, the town of endless rain... a grim world, where only the fittest can survive. People are divided into tribes that constantly fight each other in order to become the strongest in Junkyard. For only the strongest, the champion of Junkyard, can set on a journey to find Nirvana - a legendary land that is just the opposite of the sinister Junkyard. Serph is a fighter of a tribe called Embryon. Like all the others, he also wants to become the champion and to reach Nirvana. One day a mysterious object called "The Pod" appears. Serph and his friends are affected by its lights, and a result they find out they have gained supernatural, demonic powers. This is when Serph's quest truly begins.

"Digital Devil Saga" is a part of Megaten game universe, related to Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. Unlike all other Megaten games, you can't communicate with random enemies (demons) by talking to them, and also can't summon them in battles. Instead, Serph and his party are able to turn into demons themselves. During the round-based combat, the characters can fight as demons or as humans (using guns). The most important combat element is the ability to devour defeated foes. Each devoured enemy adds to your karma points, which can later be assigned to learn various skills.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 [PAL-E] [2.70GB]

The occult-themed Persona series makes its PlayStation 2 debut with a distinctive visual style that closely mirrors Japanese anime. Once again the setting is high school, where a group of special teenagers band together to fight enemies after hours by tapping into the demon personas lurking within. Parties of up to four characters can freely explore their 3D environment, but only one, the lead protagonist, is controllable during combat. Battles are initiated by approaching the onscreen enemies, with turn-based attacks involving swords, bows, and personas available to eliminate the opposition.

Each enemy type has a particular weakness against certain elements, and players will be able to outfit their character with more powerful weapons and persona types by collecting cards at the end of each battle. Persona 3 features a day-night cycle that has players focusing on building relationships with fellow classmates and tending to schedules or hobbies during the day, while exploring an alternate dimension at night. Each visit to this dimensional portal offers hundreds of randomly generated floors, but players have a limited amount of time to explore them before having to return to their academic studies.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 [NTSC-U] [3.01GB]

Having lost your parents as a child, you lived in the suburbs with your relatives, until they decided to send you to a high school located on an island near the port city Iwatodai. But as you attempt to enter your new dormitory, you are attacked by a mysterious creature. As a result, you discover within yourself the gift to call upon a higher being, Persona, that grants you immense power. Your new ability makes you decide to investigate the strange world of shadows that has been plaguing the city every midnight, and to find out who or what is behind it.

This sequel in the Persona series, which is part of the huge Megaten franchise, is not directly connected to its predecessors story-wise. The gameplay has also underwent significant changes, throwing an element of "school simulation" into the already unusual Megaten RPG formula. You get to live the life of a normal high-school student: you attend classes, talk to your friends, get homework, wait for the summer vacation, and so on. The game is divided into school days with their own schedule.

However, at midnight the real world freezes, and only you and your friends with the unique Persona abilities can feel the time flowing as they battle the shadows. The battles follow the classic Megaten model of demon-summoning. You can either attack with your weapons, or call a mighty Persona from within yourself. After the battle is won, you receive Persona cards, which can be fused to get more powerful Personae. Inspired by the system used in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, you are able to hit enemies' weakpoints with your magic spells. Taking advantage of these weakpoints means that you can perform devastating combo attacks while the enemy is weakened.

(PS2) Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 [NTSC-U] [1.89GB]

Atlus continues to meld noir with bizarre in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2, an action RPG that once again finds the demon-wielding detective Raidou Kuzunoha solving crimes in 1920s Tokyo. The story begins when a woman named Akane Narita walks into the Narumi Detective Agency looking for help tracking down a man named Dahn, but what originally seems like a simple case soon finds Kuzunoha mixed up with crooked gamblers, ninjas, odd insects, and the mysterious King Abaddon.

Devil Summoner 2 includes more than twice as many demons as its predecessor, but just as in the original, gamers must build relationships with the demons in order to persuade them to join Kuzunoha's side. Demon fusion and skill transfers return, allowing gamers to create more powerful hybrid demons, and battles once again take place in real-time. Players have new options, including a new balancing system, dodge and hide maneuvers, and the ability to control two demons in a single battle, and there are now more than 500 character possibilities, thanks to ten available races, two genders, three alignments, and 15 majors.
