Experience classic gameplay on a current generation platform with Raiden III as once again you control the Raiden Supersonic Attack Fighter. Your job is to blast any and every alien vessel you see while avoiding their firepower. You have three weapons to aid your quest: a cannon, missiles, and smart bombs. Enemies launch both air- and ground-based attacks. To aid you in your desperate battle to save mankind, you can pick up a variety of power-ups, which turn on your various weapons systems and increase or upgrade effectiveness and firepower. Other items you can pick up include fairies and medals, which give you bonus points, and 1-ups for extra lives. Compete against a friend and unlock an attack that is only available in multiplayer games.

Heavenly Guardian tells the story of the snow fairy Sayuki who travels through ancient Japan battling mythological creatures in order to save a loved one. The gameplay consists primarily of rapid-fire shooting from an overhead view, and players can take on the challenge in Story, Boss Attack, Score Attack, and Time Attack modes. Gamers can blast through the creatures alone or team up with a friend for multiplayer co-op action.
