F.A.Q.

F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q.: Where are the download links? I can't see them.
A.: Click at the "Read More" link at the bottom of each post to see the whole post and the download links ;)

Q.: Search results on your site are few / incomplete.
A.: You are right. That's because it takes time for Google to completely index a site's pages. So for now please use the "Game list" page, just to be sure that the game you are looking for is here. "Game list" page is auto-updated and always accurate-complete.

Q.: I've clicked on the "Game List" but nothing shows up!
A.: You have to wait a few seconds for the list to generate, the first time you visit the page.

Q.: What is an emulator?
A.: Emulator is a piece of software that simulates the exact behaviour of another system on your computer. That, in most cases, means that you can play games of other systems, like PSX, MegaDrive, SNES, PS2, etc on your PC. You will need a copy of a game (often reffered to as game ROM or game ISO) in order to play it.

Q.: Do I need anything else except a ROM-ISO to play a game in an emulator?
A.: YES! You'll need a BIOS dump (it's a file or in some cases, a set of files) of the system emulated. Most emulators can't operate without it. BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System and is unique for each and every system.

Q.: Where can I find a BIOS file for X system?
A.: Google it! ;)

Q.: What is a game RIP?
A.: As the name suggests a game RIP is a stripped down version of a game, in order to make it smaller in download size. The elements that are getting "ripped" are usually in-game music or videos or both (depends on the "Ripper") but never something of the actual gameplay.

Q.: What do I do with these .001 .002 etc files?
A.:Use 7Zip to extract them.

Q.: I like this site, what can I do to help you out?
A.: Thanks for taking an interest in helping Emuerse.co.cc! Well there are lots of ways you can do that:

  • You can share the content/games you like on your facebook wall using the "+Share" button at the top of each post.
  • If you have a website/blog you can add a link there to this site.
  • Participate! Clicking on the facebook "like" buttons or leaving a simple "thx!" or "great game!" comment at the games/posts you like is a great way of helping and promoting your favorite games. Cause this way you let other people know that it's actually a good game and that they should try it it out. Not to mention of course that you'll help this site to build a more useful/thriving community.
  • You can tell your friends about this site.
Whatever you chose to do from the above, thanks again in advance and I hope you'll have fun here on Emuverse.co.cc!

Q.: Are all the games posted here your uploads?
A.: Some of them are. Ihe ones that have the word "emuverse" as part in the archive password, I've
uploaded them myself. The rest are taken from respected forums that I add descriptions and photos
to them. All credit goes to them.

I add them here, cause IMO the search functions are better on my blog and all the posts follow the same structure, so its easier to find what you're looking for. As a side note I must say that I don't think that most uploaders would mind cause they still win points awarded from most 1-click hosts when somebody downloads their files ;) I know I wouldn't and not because of the points, its just that I like to SHARE.
