(PS2) Time crisis: Crisis Zone [NTSC-U] [219MB]

Crisis Zone for the PlayStation 2 is a port of the arcade game of the same name, and it is a spin-off from the Time Crisis series. In the game you are part of an elite anti-terrorist group called Special Tactical Force and you are sent to fight a terrorist group called U.R.D.A. The terrorist group has taken over an office center and wants to destroy the nuclear reactor buried deep beneath the complex. It's up to you, to stop them.

The game play is like the rest of the series, where you are taking cover, trying to eliminate the enemies in a small area before a limited amount of time expires, with the time limit resetting when you finish the area and proceed to the next one. You don't control the player's movement as it is a rail shooter, meaning that your character moves in a pre-determined path, with enemies jumping in the screen to try and damage you. Hide behind your shield to avoid being shot, but you are also not able to shoot while behind it.

The PS2 port can use the G-con 45 and G-Con2 light guns (with the last one being bundled sometimes with the game). Another different of the PS2 port from the arcade one is that the port features an extra mission (Grassmarket District that takes place 6 months after the Garland Square mission in which you have to rescue the daughter of S.T.F. Commander Kessler and clear the district from the remaining terrorists), along with some small minigames.

(PS2) Time Crisis 3 [NTSC-U] [1.22GB]

The third title in the long running arcade shooter series has you again ducking and weaving through a range of levels, with the ultimate aim of defeating the enemy who wishes to take over the world.

Along with the return of two player action, and the duck and shoot method (duck under cover by pressing the required button, which also reloads your gun), new additions to the franchise include the ability to use multiple weapons besides the pistol and machine gun. The shotgun and grenade launcher are added to your arsenal, although ammo is fairly low for both so you must aim for the right colored enemies to gain bonus ammo, or shoot crates and pick up the items.

Besides the full conversion of the arcade game, there is also a collection of multiplayer bonus quests, plus once you complete the game straight through you'll unlock an exclusive single player hostage rescue campaign, including the option to use a sniper rifle.
GunCon 2 compatible (not GunCon 1 compatible).

(PS2) Soul Calibur III (NTSC-U) (1.72GB)

Soulcalibur III is a 3D fighting game featuring a variety of characters, each carrying a distinctive weapon and unique fighting style. The basics of the combat is a derived, in different stances, from a combination of Horizontal Attacks, Vertical Attacks, Throws, Kicks and a Soul Charge. Characters engage one another in 1vs1 fights that end when the energy of one side is lost, removed from the ring or run out of time.

There are two major modes of gameplay. The first is Tales of Souls, which allows the player to select any one of 24 characters and travel through their individual story to search for the Soul Edge. Most of this mode is standard fighting, however there are choices to be made on the world map and actions to be performed during cutscenes.

The second is Chronicles of the Sword, where a custom character is created and brought to serve in a war between three nations. Strategy must be used to direct units and defend important strongholds. Certain positions of the battlefield include "effects" such as increasing gravity or speeding players up or fighting in the dark. Most battlefield missions end with the capture of the enemy stronghold or a key officer. Gold is obtained which can be used to purchase a variety of content, such as new weapons and clothing.

Finally there are minor modes of gameplay. One of which is Versus mode, which is a standard 1vs1 in which 2 players can participate. There are also Soul Arena and Survival modes to overcome specific challenges. On many of these settings, custom characters can be used, having been created from a vast selection of body parts and clothing. Bonus weapons, clothing, characters or content can be unlocked through meeting hidden objectives in either of the main gameplay modes or by collecting gold and spending it at the shop.

While tearing down the adrenaline-pumping courses at high speeds, you can power-slide around corners and increase your heart rate!

Ridge Racer V's Race Mode will have you competing as part of a team; it acts as a career-type mode. Assuming the role as a member of the team, new engines, car designs and courses are unlocked as you complete various races. Additionally, there are five other racing options available including Grand Prix, Duel, Time Attack, Versus and Free Run. Grand Prix pits you against computer-controlled vehicles and drivers in a number of rounds -- you must achieve a high standing in order to continue to the next round where you'll unlock new courses and cars.

(PS2) Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil [NTSC-U] [851 MB]

Klonoa, our floppy-eared hero, along with his two newly found buddies, Lolo and Popka, have to foil a sinister force which is causing a mire of gloom to plague the land of Lunatea. By ringing the four bells across the land, Klonoa can restore harmony, but the Sky Pirate Leorina is in hot pursuit, after Klonoa's magic ring...

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil is a 3D side-scrolling platformer. The main goal of the game is to get to the end of each level (or 'Vision'), but there are also special goals to achieve. Firstly, each Vision contains six Momett Dolls hidden in each level. Secondly, there are Dream Stones scattered throughout each level - green ones are worth one, while blue ones are worth five. Certain puzzles also contain tricky use of the "Dream Spirit", which doubles the value of all collected Dream Stones. New to Klonoa 2 are hoverboard sections, which play at a faster, more action-oriented pace.

But what makes Klonoa unique is his abilities. Klonoa can shoot a 'wind bullet' into foes, which puffs them up and allows Klonoa to carry them. Klonoa can then launch them straight at foes, or jump with them, giving him an extra boost. If he needs extra length to his jump, holding the jump button will allow him to hover for a little longer, too. Different enemies have different effects - for example, certain foes have propellers on their heads and will rocket you into the sky, while others will act like time bombs and explode after a short while.

As in previous titles in the series, the object is to win a specific number of rounds by reducing an opponent's health meter to zero. This is accomplished by using a variety of punches, jumps, kicks, parries, throws, and special moves -- all of which can be linked to form up to ten-hit combos.

(PS2) Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War [NTSC-U] [2.7GB]

Namco's signature flight combat series returns to PlayStation 2 in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. Set 15 years before the events found in 2005's Ace Combat 5, the game has players slipping into the flight suit of a mercenary pilot working for the fictitious country of Ustio. Ustio is engaged in a bitter war with its neighbor, Belka, with the conflict being decided in the air. New to the series is the addition of skilled rivals and their specially decorated planes. These squadron leaders will employ new tactics in dogfights, requiring more skill to shoot down than typical enemies.

Ace Combat Zero also features a number of gameplay tweaks from its predecessor. Players can now assign weapon payloads for their computer-controlled wingmen, and a gallery option shows exactly what requirements are needed to unlock an assortment of bonus features. The main game mode follows a multi-mission campaign that offers a documentary film approach to the cinematic cut-scenes. After taking out enemy structures and planes in the single-player game, pilots can challenge a friend in split-screen versus play in a choice of modes, from straightforward dogfights to more elaborate capture-the-flag variants.

(PS2) Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War [NTSC-U] [3.31GB]

Namco's console flight sim series continues in Ace Combat 5. Set in the near future of an alternate reality, the game has players taking to the skies in one of 50 realistic, modern aircraft, to defend their fictional home country of Oesa. Teamwork is crucial in this edition of the game; players take full command of their own squadrons, and will be challenged to make on-the-spot tactical decisions that may determine the failure or success of a mission. The series' staple dogfighting is also prevalent, of course, so virtual pilots will have many opportunities to demonstrate their flying skills in the heat of battle. The game's main campaign tells its story over 30 individual missions, highlighted with cut scenes. As usual, Oesa is at odds with its longtime rival nation Yuktobania, but the appearance of an unidentified aircraft, capable of decimating an entire Tactical Fight squadron, may shake things up. The Ace Combat series began in arcades, and originally came to consoles as the PlayStation game Air Combat. The series moved to the 128-bit generation with Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies, followed by this fifth release.

(PS2) Tales of Legendia [NTSC-U] [2.16GB]

In Tales of Legendia, players face unknown dangers in a strange land, as a young hero with rare, supernatural abilities. The game is an action-RPG, with plenty of fast-paced, fighting game-style combat to punctuate the exploration and exposition. As did earlier games in the pseudo-series (Tales of Destiny, Tales of Symphonia), this adventure strives to tell a stirring story of discovery, conflict, and redemption. Theses Tales involve a young man and his younger sister, who find themselves adrift and alone on the open sea. When they see an island in the distance, they hope to be saved, but their story is just beginning as they realize that the island is not deserted, and quite possibly, not even really an island.

(PS2) Tales of the Abyss [NTSC-U] [2.79GB]

Settle in for the story of Luke fon Fabre and his adventures in Tales of the Abyss, a magical story about the value of friendship and sacrifice. As Luke, you begin inside your family's manor, a quiet character shut away from the world due to a terrible case of amnesia caused by the shock of being kidnapped years ago. Shattering your solitude, a girl named Tear breaks into the castle and the two of you are transported far from the safety of your family home. Luke can roam freely through his environment, uncovering treasure chests, magical items, and enemies to increase his skills as a fighter, and sorcerer.

The land is full of subatomic particles created from such elements as light, dark, air, earth, fire, and water called Fonons, and the protagonist can master the make-up of a particular area by using attacks that are based in one of six particles. Luke can charge-up normal actions to become super assaults by using moves that require the primary Fonon found within that environment. As in other RPG titles, Luke will meet people along the way including Mieu and Jade who will join your party and provide back-up during squabbles. The game gives you the option of controlling Luke directly or allowing the computer to fight for you.

Elemental attacks can be made stronger by using fon slot chambers to add special effects such as power, damage, and health increases, and as your characters level up, you can distribute over 80 unlockable attributes to 20 different capacity cores that affect Luke and members of his posse in such ways as physical, fonic attack, and defense points. As you journey through your main quest of uncovering Luke's affiliation with the Order of Lorelei, there will be side activities to break up gameplay that include cooking tasty meals to increase attributes and unlocking costumes such as swimsuits and formal wear. You can journey alone or invite up to three friends to play along as characters in Luke's party.

[PSX] Soul Edge - [Rip, NTSC-U]

In the 16th century, a sword surfaces that is so powerful, so evil that warriors from all over the globe seek it out. It is Soul Edge, a demon blade. From America to Europe to Japan, these warriors fight each other for the chance to obtain it. Soul Blade is a 3D weapons fighting game that chronicles their story.

A complete 3D fighting game that allows for side steps, Soul Blade has twelve colorful fighters (ten standard, two hidden, plus additional costumes for a few fighters), each with various weapons and styles. The first ten can be used in all the combat modes, while the hidden two can only be used in versus and arcade mode.

Namco enhanced the arcade version (called Soul Edge) by adding a well done CGI intro, plus a story mode to the addition of the traditional team, survival, and time attack modes. The story mode goes into greater detail about each character, and is presented in an ancient book format. The story mode also allows you to unlock more of each characters' extra weapons. These weapons, which vary in lengths, stats, and durability, add to the options available players in the versus mode.

Soul Blade's sequel is SoulCalibur, both in the arcades and for the Sega Dreamcast
