(PS2) Sonic Riders [NTSC-U] [1.20GB]

In Sonic Riders, Dr. Eggman challenges Sonic and his friends to a Worldwide Grand Prix, and the prize for coming out on top is an ultra-rare Chaos Emerald! Gliding on air boards – which are performance-oriented for each playable character – gamers will experience a heightened sense of sports-style racing tension as Sonic and his pals perform tricks and stunts over treacherous wide-open terrain.

Sonic and friends speed through tracks on air boards, using individual special moves to strike down opponents. Air is a big element of Sonic Riders. Your board's "fuel" source is air. You can fill up your air at various points on the course, but to race well you'll have to use another means of replenishment: performing tricks with your board. You'll also want to make use of turbulence from racers who are in front of you.

(PS2) Up [NTSC-U] [871MB]

Up is based on the animated movie of the same name. Carl Fredericksen always wanted to be an adventurer but he never got around to it. After his wife dies he gets depressed but finally decides to experience adventures after all. He gets accompanied by the scout Russel.

Most levels are played with two characters with different abilities: Carl can use his walking aid as jumping help and crowbar while Russel balances on small ledges, catches insects or blinds enemies with his magnifying glass. Sometimes the dog Dug joins them who can pass through small holes and swim. The levels are basic platforming stages with many puzzles which need all these abilities to be solved. Of course this can be played in co-op too. Diversion is brought by a few flying levels with a biplane.

There are numerous differences to the Xbox 360/Playstation 3/Wii version. There are more levels, additional mini games like a raft trip where the player has to dodge crocodiles, the story is told with actual cutscenes from the movie and there are more unlockable extras, e.g. cheats. The two player characters gain additional gadgets during the game which can be used to reach new areas in already beaten levels. The multiplayer modes are also different: this version lacks the simultaneous flying duels for four players but two variants for two players and six other mini games which can be player as tournament for four players.

(PS2) Scaler [PAL-E] [1.22GB]

Scaler is a 3D platform game with elements of combat, stealth, and puzzle-solving. Upon accidentally uncovering his neighbor's evil plot to take over the universe with an army of mutant lizards, Bobby "Scaler" Johnson is put in the position to infiltrate the operation and bring it down from the inside. He is transported to another dimension and transformed into a lizard himself. The enemy army is strong and diverse, however, with different mutant lizard soldier types that are well suited for various tasks.

Luckily, after transforming from a boy into a lizard, changing from one lizard form to another eventually becomes relatively easy, and Scaler will need to assume the appearance and abilities of no fewer than five other creatures in order to accomplish all the objectives before him.

Since certain goals can only be reached in one particular lizard form, part of the challenge can be figuring out which shape to take in each situation. Nevertheless, whether they realize it or not, all the good people of universe are depending on Scaler to prevent the impending mutant lizard uprising. Needless to say, perhaps, players expecting a serious, realistic, simulation-style game may be somewhat disappointed with Scaler.

(PS2) Rayman M [PAL-E] [393MB]

This is the first multiplayer game in the Rayman series. It's no jump and run as the other Rayman franchises were - here, you race against your friend or battle him in the arena. These battles are of course child-friendly - you must collect five glowing spheres before the other player does.

Go at it in mind-bending races courses, or square off head to head in the battle arena. Use your speed in 12 race courses where you must take risks, use tricks, and trip up your opponents as you run, slide, climb, and helicopter for the checkered flag. You can freeze the other player for a few seconds by shooting him with an ice beam.

For these battles, 12 different maps are included. Knockout your opponent with power-ups, traps, and special ammo, and four-player action - splitscreen on consoles, over the internet on PC.

You can unlock rewards such as bonus levels, additional modes, character skins, and new characters by beating the best times and highest scores.

(PS2) Legend of Spyro, The: A New Beginning [NTSC-U] [1.65GB]

In an effort to appeal to all types of gamers, Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is designed to be a new experience that shows a darker side of the cuddly purple dragon. With an attack system designed to make use of four elements (earth, fire, ice, and electricity), Spyro can now abandon his patented head-butt assault and chain together 12 different attacks for nearly irresistible destruction. Players can upgrade the elemental assaults over the course of the game, and use the "Fury" attack to clear enemies from a large area. The gems that were currency in the last few games can now be used to recharge life, breath, and the "Fury" gauge. Different enemies are more vulnerable to certain attacks, while they brush off others as mere annoyances. For example, a lava monster won't mind a fiery attack as much as a shot of ice in the eye. Sparx, Spyro's dragonfly companion, takes a more involved role in A New Beginning, and a handful of Hollywood actors voice characters in the game.

(PS2) Legend of Spyro, The: Dawn of the Dragon [NTSC-U] [2.13GB]

The final chapter in the Legend of Spyro trilogy, Dawn of the Dragon finds the purple dragon joining forces with Cynder, his former rival, to defeat the evil Dark Master and save the world. Once again the action is viewed from a third-person perspective set behind Spyro as he runs, flies, and glides across 3D worlds. An assortment of elemental attacks and combos are used to defeat whimsical enemies, and for the first time in the series, cooperative play is supported. Players can team up as Spyro and Cynder to complete challenges and solve puzzles throughout the main storyline. Cooperative play features a drop-in and drop-out system, allowing solo gamers to continue their progress if a friend decides to leave. A celebrity-filled voice cast features the talents of Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, Christina Ricci, Wayne Brady, Blair Underwood, and Mark Hamill.

(PS2) Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc [NTSC-U] [2.35 GB]

Globox, a friend of Rayman, has placed the world into a deadly possibility. It's up to Rayman to save the day and find a cure to rid the Dark Lord from Globox.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is a 3D third-person platform game. Rayman, the main hero, jumps and punches his way through numerous colorful levels, with Globox (and Andre inside him) tagging along and occasionally commenting on the goings-on. Rayman's main weapon is his fist; he can use it to shoot projectiles at the attacking Hoodlums and other foes, and the projectiles are more powerful when the fist is charged by holding down the "shoot" button.

The game is divided into several worlds, each divided into a couple of levels; the game is saved automatically after each level. In between the worlds, the player has to complete a mini-game where he has to surf along light-beams in a psychedelic environment.

(PS2) Jak And Daxter - The Lost Frontier [NTSC-U] [2.14 GB]

Story-wise, Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier picks up after the events of Jak X: Combat Racing. Jak, Daxter and Kiera travel to the Brink -- the edge of the known world -- to investigate the recent Eco shortage, and end up caught up in a struggle between the region's inhabitants and a group of Sky Pirates.

The gameplay is a return to the series' 3D platforming roots -- a balance of jumping/traversal challenges, weapon-based and melee combat. There are also several aerial combat segments (both objective-based and free-form dogfighting), as well as brawler-like stages where the player controls the giant, Hulk-like "Dark Daxter". As usual, the player can unlock and customize Jak's Eco powers and vehicles along the way.

(PS2) Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy [NTSC-M5] [706MB]

Jak and Daxter are two mischievous village friends who, despite of the wise (but grumpy) sage, Samos' warning sneak off to Misty Island. There Daxter accidentally falls into a pool of evil Dark Eco, and transforms into a weasel-like creature. Bringing Daxter to his original human form is enough of a problem, and now the Lurkers are using this Dark Eco for their own malign intentions. The plot goes on as the game plays.

Our hero(es) can jump, double-jump, spin-kick, uppercut, hang onto things, and ride various vehicles and an occasional creature along the way to complete their assigned tasks. There are also several NPCs to interact with and play their side quests and mini-games.

The spectacularly immersive 3D world even has a day and night cycle and, more surprisingly, no apparent load-times!

(PS2) Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil [NTSC-U] [851 MB]

Klonoa, our floppy-eared hero, along with his two newly found buddies, Lolo and Popka, have to foil a sinister force which is causing a mire of gloom to plague the land of Lunatea. By ringing the four bells across the land, Klonoa can restore harmony, but the Sky Pirate Leorina is in hot pursuit, after Klonoa's magic ring...

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil is a 3D side-scrolling platformer. The main goal of the game is to get to the end of each level (or 'Vision'), but there are also special goals to achieve. Firstly, each Vision contains six Momett Dolls hidden in each level. Secondly, there are Dream Stones scattered throughout each level - green ones are worth one, while blue ones are worth five. Certain puzzles also contain tricky use of the "Dream Spirit", which doubles the value of all collected Dream Stones. New to Klonoa 2 are hoverboard sections, which play at a faster, more action-oriented pace.

But what makes Klonoa unique is his abilities. Klonoa can shoot a 'wind bullet' into foes, which puffs them up and allows Klonoa to carry them. Klonoa can then launch them straight at foes, or jump with them, giving him an extra boost. If he needs extra length to his jump, holding the jump button will allow him to hover for a little longer, too. Different enemies have different effects - for example, certain foes have propellers on their heads and will rocket you into the sky, while others will act like time bombs and explode after a short while.

(PS2) Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex [PAL-E]

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is the first Crash Bandicoot game for a system other than the original PlayStation. The story is set some time after Warped: Dr. Cortex wants revenge after being defeated by Crash (again). For this purpose, he creates Crunch, a super-bandicoot who can destroy everything that crosses his way. So Crash needs to defeat Crunch (and in the end, Dr. Cortex).

The game is a typical jump and run, with some other action passages, like air combat and a sequence where Crash is trapped inside a giant sphere rolling around in some sort of rollercoaster. All graphics are in 3D, and the sound is typical for cartoon games like this. The whole game is pretty straightforward in design, getting stuck on a puzzle is not really possible.

(PS2) Ice Age 2: The Meltdown [NTSC-U] [1.08 GB]

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is loosely based on the movie of the same name. The game takes place in prehistory - you play as Scrat, the hapless (but not totally helpless!) proto-squirrel, helping your friends escape the coming of a huge flood.

The WASD keys move you forward and back, left and right, and the mouse controls camera movement and some actions. Scrat has a few special moves as well, such as sniff, his spin attack, a double jump, a ground stomp (useful for breaking ice) and a roll attack. Much of the game consists of hunting down acorns and other special nuts for health renewal or for unlocking bonuses. There are a few mini-games within the game - you can play as Sid, zipping along an ice slide while avoiding obstacles; there's also penguin-bowling and a mini-game where you "shoot" at monkeys to regain a walnut that was whisked out from under your nose.

(PS2) Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant [NTSC-U] [1.34 GB]

Crash: Mind over Mutant continues the storyline of its predecessor, Crash of the Titans.

The Titans from the previous game has broken free from Dr. Cortex' control and has settled down on various places on the Wumpa Islands. But Cortex has teamed up with Nitrus Brio to develop a device which can control both the bandicoots and the Titans. Now Crash and his friends must find out where Cortex is hiding and stop him before he can act out his devious plan.

Crash can use a light-powered attack to defeat smaller enemies, but for bigger enemies, a more high-powered attack is needed. Crash can also block and dodge attacks. Just like in Crash of the Titans, Crash can take control of the Titans which he encounters. But this time he can take the Titans with him and use them when he needs it. As Crash defeats more and more enemies, he can upgrade both his own attacks and the attacks of the Titans in his possession.
